Gatorball Baseball Academy is the place for baseball players, age 5-18, to learn the game of baseball, build on their existing skill set, and become the best player they can possibly be.

I. Private Lessons

Individual Lessons (1 on 1)

One hour sessions where one athlete receives hitting, pitching, or position focused defensive instruction from one instructor.

Group Lessons (2 on 1)

One hour sessions where 2 athletes receive hitting, pitching, or position focused defensive instruction from one instructor.

Team Workouts/Lessons

Custom length sessions where teams receive team defense and/or hitting instruction with a group of 2 or more Gatorball instructors.

    • Who can get a lesson?

Any player, beginner to advanced can begin taking lessons. Each private lesson will be
molded to fit your individual needs.

    • How do I schedule a lesson?

Lessons are available Monday thru Friday, 3:00pm-8:00pm. (summer: 10am-6pm)
*Weekend lessons may be scheduled based on instructor availability.

  • How often should my child get a lesson?

For optimal results, a client should get a lesson at least once per week until they are
consistently satisfied with their game production.

In order to maintain satisfactory results, a client should continue to get lessons on a
consistent basis for the duration of their baseball career.

II. Spring and Fall Baseball School

Gatorball’s Spring and Fall Baseball School sessions target young players (Age: 5-12) who are beginners, moderately experienced, or simply interested in developing better fundamentals. In this unique program, players will receive instruction from Gatorball’s professional staff once per week in a positive, supportive environment.

Who will be instructing?

Our Baseball School will provide an exceptional coaching staff led by David Banes who had 20+ years of coaching experience.
*Low player to coach ratio guaranteed.

Will we play any games?

The Fall and Spring Baseball School will consist of practices only. All athletes enrolled in the school are encouraged to participate in our Gatorball Fall and Spring Recreational Leagues (visit league page) or try out for one of our Gatorball Travel Teams.

What to expect: Serious, organized practices focused on the fundamentals of baseball.

Spring Baseball School:

When: Tuesdays, March thru May
Time: 5:30pm-7:00pm

Fall Baseball School:

When: Tuesdays, September thru November
Time: 5:30pm-7:00pm

III. Spring and Fall Recreational Leagues

Want to play organized baseball, but aren’t ready to take the leap into Travel Baseball?
Gatorball’s Spring and Fall Recreational Leagues are for you!

Our leagues offer:

  • Organized Scheduling
  • Evenly divided teams, for fair, competitive games
  • All games played at Jonesville Park
  • Weekly updates on our website
  • Quality volunteer coaches
  • Gatorball jersey and hat

IV. Camps

Throughout the year, Gatorball will host camps and clinics for interested youth of all ages and levels of ability. Individual camp details and registration forms can be found under the “camps” tab. Upcoming events will be listed on the left hand side of the home page. Unless otherwise noted, all camps and clinics will be held at Jonesville Park.

What should players bring with them to camps and/or clinics?

Players should always wear full baseball attire: baseball pants, t-shirt, belt, baseball socks and a baseball hat. Players should also bring their baseball gear (cleats, glove, bat, helmet, catching gear (if applicable) and a drink. (Note: Players should also bring sneakers or turf shoes for hitting drills taking place on turf areas)

If bad weather occurs, how will I know if the camp or clinic is cancelled?
Weather cancellations will be communicated on our Gatorball website homepage:
www.gatorballtraining.com, on our Gatorball Facebook page, and an email will be sent out (when possible).

Please only call to find out about cancellations if absolutely necessary!

Who will be running the camp?

All camps and clinics will be conducted by the Gatorball Baseball staff instructors and former academy team players. Current academy team players (ages 16-18) may serve as additional instructors.

V. Travel Teams

Gatorball Baseball Academy offers competitive travel teams, 10U thru 18U. If you are interested in training at a high level, year round, and think you have what it takes to compete against the top teams in the country – please visit the “travel team” tab for more information.
